Sacred Postpartum

“You cannot pour from an empty vessel”

Nourishing Postpartum

To fulfil your babies needs you must first replenish yourself. This is the time to bond, snuggled up in bed and reap the benefits of skin to skin contact, baby nuzzling at your breast in an oxytocin infused love nest.

Traditionally women supported one another at this sacred time. In todays society we don’t want to burden busy friends and relatives with the task of mothering us as new mothers.

We may even find the notion of “laying in” after the birth of our babies luxurious or extravagent. In many cultures, however, it is said that how a woman spends the first weeks postpartum will affect her overall health for years to come. It is your birthright!

Can you imagine a better time to let go of cooking, cleaning and other household tasks and focus on you and your baby?

Allow me the honour of this role so you can heal and restore.

Nourish and Replenish

Take the time to honour your postpartum.

Tend to yourself and your baby.

Let me do the rest.

“I had to unlearn everything I had thought about a woman’s responsibility to others. I was humbled by how little energy or attention I had for anything as productive as making a meal for myself-or even making the bed-let alone hosting wellwishers!”
